Manchester Web Design
Website redesign Manchester
A redesign starts with the website you already have. For a Manchester business replacing an older site, the brief should explain what is worth keeping, what needs to work differently and how the changeover will be handled.
Take stock before replacing the design
Share the current website and the reasons for changing it. We look at the information customers use, the services you need to explain and the enquiry routes that matter. If you have search or analytics reports, those can inform the review when access is available. A tired layout does not mean every existing page should be discarded.
Decide which content earns its place
List the service descriptions, photographs, approved reviews and business details you want to retain. Identify outdated information as well as gaps in the current explanation. The new page plan should reflect the business you run today, with a clear owner for supplying and approving each part of the content.
Check the functions behind the pages
An old site may connect to forms, booking tools, a catalogue or other software. Tell us which functions must continue and who provides them. A brochure rebuild is not automatically a replacement for those systems. Any provider-dependent connection is investigated and scoped before it becomes a promise in the quote.
Agree the rebuild and the price
Website packages start at £295 for one page, £595 for up to five pages and £995 for Business, including VAT. The fixed quote is confirmed in writing after the actual rebuild requirements are agreed. Page scope, retained content, enquiry handling and extra functions belong in that brief, rather than being assumed from a starting price.
Plan the changeover deliberately
We identify the domain and hosting access needed and agree which page addresses will stay. Where URLs change, the transition plan should account for appropriate redirects rather than simply leaving old links without a destination. The approved pages, phone links and enquiry routes are checked on mobile and desktop before the agreed switch. A redesign cannot guarantee that search positions will remain unchanged.
Know who looks after the finished site
Your business owns the website, domain and content. Fully managed hosting is £15 a month or £150 a year, with content changes charged separately. Optional website care costs £25 monthly for minor edits and maintenance; Business includes the first year of both hosting and care. Ongoing SEO is a separate agreed programme. The handover should leave those responsibilities understandable.
